TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a device for fixing a vertical panel in a receiving groove of a support rail extending in a longitudinal direction by injecting a fixing paste into the groove.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a railing comprising a rail which is fixed to a slab and which receives a vertical panel, for example a glass panel.
It is also known to fix panels by injecting a fixing paste, for example a resin. To do this, the panel is positioned in the rail, then the operator manually deposits joint seams in the rail to delimit longitudinally the area into which the resin will be injected. The panel is held in a vertical position during the injection of fixing paste. By hardening, the paste ensures a very solid fixing of the panel in the rail.
The fixing of panels by resin injection is very resistant, and it allows the panel to withstand very intense transverse forces without any pivoting of the panel in the rail being observed.
However, the fixing operation requires a lot of time due to the removal of seals before inserting the panel.
In addition, the fixing paste is expensive. However, the quantity of resin required for fixing the panel involves an obvious additional cost compared to a fixing by wedge. This additional cost is all the higher as the seals delimiting the resin injection zone are deposited manually approximately. The injection area is almost always oversized by the operator to ensure that the panel is securely attached. Consequently, the amount of resin used is not controlled.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The invention provides a fixing device by injection of fixing paste which makes it possible to carry out a fast fixing operation and which makes it possible to control the quantity of fixing paste used while ensuring the solid fixing of the panel.
To this end, the invention provides a fastening device of the type described above, characterized in that it comprises a formwork comprising two transverse flanges whose outer contour matches the internal face of the groove, each flange having a vertical slot opening into an upper edge for receiving the panel, the flanges being arranged at a longitudinal distance from each other in the groove to delimit longitudinally at least two chambers which are arranged on either side of the panel and which are intended to receive a determined quantity of fixing paste.
According to other characteristics of the invention:
the flanges are held at a predetermined distance from each other by a longitudinal spacer;
- The spacer comprises a lower panel support blade which extends longitudinally from a bottom of the slot of the first flange to the bottom of the slot of the other flange;
the spacer comprises two longitudinal horizontal blades which extend transversely on either side of the slot and which connect the flanges by their upper edge to close each chamber upwards;
- At least one upper blade has at least one orifice for injecting the fixing paste;
- Each upper blade has an associated injection orifice;
- one of the closure blades has two injection orifices, the other of the blades does not have an injection orifice, one of the two injection orifices being extended by a conduit which extends up to under the blade support to guide the fixing paste to the chamber located on the opposite side of the panel;
- The formwork comprises at least one box extending transversely between one side of the panel and the internal face of the groove to delimit a cell intended to remain empty after injection of the fixing paste into the chambers;
- the caissons divide at least one chamber into an upper compartment and an upper compartment, at least two vertical channels being reserved for communicating the upper and lower compartments;
- the formwork is made in one piece;
- the formwork is made of at least two assembled parts.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
In the following description, we will adopt, without limitation, longitudinal, vertical and transverse orientations indicated by the trihedron L, V, T of the figures. The vertical direction is used as a purely geometric benchmark unrelated to the direction of gravity.
In the following description, elements having an identical structure and / or analogous functions will be designated by the same reference.
In the drawings, the fixing paste was represented by point clouds.
FIG. 1 shows a partial view of a device 10 for fixing a panel 12 in a support rail 14, in particular for a railing 16, or any other type of partition or security wall. In the case of a railing 16, the panel 12 is preferably made of glass. It is held vertically in the support rail 14 by the fixing device 10.
The support rail 14 is formed, for example, by an aluminum profile, here having a U-shaped cross section delimiting inside, a groove 18 for receiving the panel 12 and the fixing device 10. The profile extends continuously in the longitudinal direction, and comprises a horizontal base 15 intended to bear and to be secured to a slab or a concrete or stone, or metallic (not shown) structure.
As a variant, the profile is fixed to a support by one of its external lateral faces.
The bottom 20 of the groove 18 has a concave curved shape, preferably rounded, extended by two internal lateral faces 22, 24 arranged vertically and parallel to one another. The width of the groove 18 between the two lateral faces 22, 24 is greater than the thickness of the panel 12. The two internal lateral faces 22, 24 are here flared at the top of the profile so as to form two divergent end ramps. Each lateral face 22, 24 is provided with a longitudinal notch 21 which projects substantially in the middle of the groove 18.
The panel 12, once positioned in the rail 14, is intended to be held securely in the vertical position by injecting a hardening fixing paste into the groove 18. The fixing paste is for example formed by a resin.
The invention proposes to facilitate the resin injection operation thanks to a formwork 26. As shown in more detail in FIG. 2, the formwork 26 comprises two transverse vertical flanges 28. The two flanges 28 are identical. The outer contour 30 of each flange 28 follows the lateral faces 22, 24 and the bottom 20 of the groove 18. Each flange 28 extends to an upper opening 30 in the groove 18.
In addition, each flange 28 has a vertical slot 32 opening into an upper edge 34 to receive the panel 12. The slot 32 thus has a shape complementary to that of the lower section of the panel 12. The slot 32 is more particularly delimited vertically towards the bottom by a bottom 36 which receives the lower edge of the panel 12 and transversely by two vertical edges 38A, 38B which are intended to be arranged against the opposite lateral faces of the panel 12.
The flanges 28 are intended to be arranged at a longitudinal distance from one another in the groove 18 to delimit longitudinally at least one chamber intended to receive a determined quantity of fixing paste. The chamber is also delimited transversely and vertically downwards by the lateral faces 22, 24 and the bottom 20 of the groove 18.
As can be seen in particular in FIGS. 3 and 4, due to the presence of the panel 12 in the middle of the formwork 26, the space delimited by the flanges 28 is divided by the panel 12 into a first chamber 40A arranged transversely of a first side of the panel 12 and in a second chamber 40B arranged transversely of the second side of the panel 12.
As shown in FIG. 1, each flange 28 thus closes the chambers 40A, 40B in a manner sufficiently adjusted to generally contain the fixing paste in the chambers 40A, 40B during its injection and drying.
Due to the high viscosity of the fixing pastes used, it is nevertheless possible to keep a clearance for inserting the flange 28 in the groove 18 as well as a clearance for inserting the panel 12 in the slot 32. The clearance may also be used to adjust the formwork 26 in pivoting against the bottom 20 of the groove 18 when the panel 12 is not entirely orthogonal to the base 15 of the rail 14. These games can possibly cause some burrs of fixing pastes to the outside of the chambers 40A, 40B without this altering the invention.
To facilitate their positioning in the groove 18, while guaranteeing chambers 40A, 40B of optimum longitudinal dimension for fixing the panel 12, the flanges 28 are maintained at a predetermined distance from each other by a longitudinal spacer. .
As illustrated in Figure 2, the spacer has a lower horizontal blade 42 which extends longitudinally from the bottom 36 of the slot 32 of the first flange 28 to the bottom 36 of the slot 32 of the opposite flange 28. This blade 42 is intended to form a support for the lower edge of the panel
12.
In addition, the spacer also includes two longitudinal horizontal blades 44A, 44B which extend transversely on either side of the slot 32 and which connect the flanges 28 by their upper edge 34. As is particularly visible in FIG. 4, each blade 44A, 44B closes a chamber 40A, 40B associated upwards in order to obtain a molding of fixing paste inside the formwork 26.
Seen from the side, the formwork 26 thus has a form of frame delimited transversely by the flanges 28 and vertically by the closing blades 44A, 44B and by the support blade 42.
To allow the fixing paste to be injected into the formwork 26, at least one closing blade 44A, 44B has at least one orifice 46 for injecting the fixing paste. In addition, to allow the evacuation of air during filling of the chambers 40A, 40B with the fixing paste, at least one vent 48 is provided in each closing blade 44A, 44B. Here two vents 48 are arranged at the two longitudinal ends of each closing blade 44A, 44B.
Furthermore, it has been found that it was not necessary to fill the groove 18 over its entire height with fixing paste in order to obtain optimum retention of the panel 12 in the rail 14. By placing the fixing paste in well defined areas, for example in the bottom of the groove 18 and at the top of the groove 18, a sufficiently solid support of the panel 12 is obtained. To save fixing paste while guaranteeing a solid support of the panel 12 in the rail 14, the formwork 26 includes at least one box 50 extending transversely between one side of the panel 12 and the side face 22, 24 facing the groove 18. This box 50 delimits a cell 51 intended to remain vacuum after injection of the fixing paste into the chambers 40A, 40B.
In the embodiment shown in the figures, a longitudinal vertical strip 52A extends from a vertical edge 38 of the slot 32 of the first flange 28 to the corresponding vertical edge 38 of the slot 32 of the opposite flange 28. This strip 52A extends in a central part of the vertical edge 38 of the slot 32. It extends vertically over a height less than that of the slot 32, for example between one third and two thirds of the height of the slot 32 .
The formwork 26 symmetrically comprises an identical strip 52B on the other side of the slot 32.
Each strip 52A, 52B is perforated with at least one window 54 per box 50. Each chamber 40A, 40B here comprising two boxes 50, each strip 52A, 52B is here perforated with two identical windows 54. The windows 54 here have a rectangular outline. Each box 50 extends transversely towards the side face 22, 24 facing the groove 18 to delimit the cells 51.
As shown in more detail in FIG. 5, each chamber 40A, 40B is thus divided by an alignment of boxes 50 into a compartment 40As, 40Bs upper and into a compartment 40Ai, 40Bi lower. Each compartment 40As, 40Bs, 40Ai, 40Bi is delimited transversely by a side face 22, 24 of the groove 18 and by a side face of the panel
12. The upper compartment 40As, 40Bs communicates with the lower compartment 40Ai, 40Bi by means of at least two vertical channels 58 reserved longitudinally on either side of the boxes 50.
In the example illustrated in the figures, each chamber 40A, 40B comprises two boxes 50. Consequently, each chamber 40A, 40B comprises a central channel 58 arranged between the two boxes 50 and two lateral channels 58 arranged between a box 50 and the flange 28 partner.
At least one of the channels 58 is intended to allow the passage of the fixing paste between the compartment 40As, upper 40Bs and the compartment 40Ai, 40Bi lower, while at least another of the channels 58 is intended to allow the air to escape from the lower compartment 40Ai, 40Bi towards the vents 48 drilled in the blade 44A, 44B for closing when filling the chambers 40A, 40B with the fixing paste.
It will be understood that after the fixing paste has hardened in the formwork 26, the latter remains permanently arranged in the rail 14 because the boxes 50 and the panel 12 prevent its removal. Nevertheless, the forces exerted by the panel 12 are entirely transmitted by the hardened fixing paste to the rail 14, in particular by the fixing paste molded in the compartments 40As, 40Bs, 40Ai, 40Bi. The formwork 26 itself has no force transmission function, its only role being to provide a molding imprint for the fixing paste during the fixing operation.
Therefore, it is possible to produce the formwork 26 in a material which is not very resistant and inexpensive, such as a plastic material. This formwork 26 can be obtained by molding or by 3D printing.
According to a first embodiment of the invention which is shown in Figure 1 to 5, the formwork 26 is designed so that each chamber 40A, 40B is filled by an orifice 46A, 46B for filling made in the blade 44A, 44B associated closure.
In this case, each orifice 46A, 46B is advantageously arranged in line with a channel 58. In the embodiment shown in the figures, the orifice 46A, 46B is arranged in line with the central channel 58. This makes it possible to favor the successive filling of the compartment 40Ai, 40Bi lower then of the compartment 40As, 40Bs upper of each chamber 40A, 40B.
In addition, the vents 48 are advantageously arranged in line with the other two lateral channels 58 to promote the escape of air under the effect of filling.
In this first embodiment, the formwork 26 can be produced in a single block.
In a variant shown in FIG. 6, the formwork 26 is produced in two identical halves 26A, 26B, the joint plane of the two parts corresponding to a vertical longitudinal plane passing through the middle of the slots 32, dividing the support blade 42 in two along its longitudinal median axis. This makes it possible to produce the two identical formwork halves 26 on the same model. We can provide an assembly by tenon 60 and mortise 62 which is held in position by arrangement of the formwork 26 assembled in the groove 18. Thus, each half 26A, 26B of formwork defines a chamber 40A, 40B associated.
In a variant not shown of the invention, the two formwork halves are joined in one piece by means of a film of plastic material forming a hinge. The plastic film is advantageously obtained integrally with the two formwork halves.
According to a second embodiment of the invention which is shown in Figures 7 and 8, the orifices 46A, 46B for filling the two chambers 40A, 40B are arranged in the same closing blade 44A. The other of the blades 44B does not have an injection orifice but only vents 58.
This embodiment advantageously makes it possible to fill the two chambers 40A, 40B from only one side of the panel 12. This is particularly advantageous when the railing 16 is installed in height in the absence of scaffolding. The closing blade 44A comprising the two filling orifices is then oriented on the building side while the closing blade 44B devoid of filling port is arranged on the empty side.
To allow the filling of the opposite chamber 40B, one of the two injection orifices 46B is extended to the opposite chamber 40B by a conduit 64 which extends as far as the support blade 42 to guide the fixing paste to the chamber 40B located on the opposite side of the panel 12.
Whatever the embodiment envisaged, the forms 26 are previously installed in the groove 18. The contour 30 of the flanges 28 has a notch 66 complementary to the notch 21 to allow the formwork 26 to be locked in position in the groove 18.
Then the panel 12 is inserted into the slots 32 and positioned vertically in the groove 18. The panel 12 is kept vertical in the rail 14 by any known means, for example by arranging known clamps, for example as described in the document FR 3 017 909 alternating the forms 26.
Then, the fixing paste, for example resin, is injected into the formwork 26 via the filling holes 46. When the fixing paste is hardened, the panel 12 is then firmly held in its vertical position by the hardened resin.
The formwork 26 produced according to the teachings of the invention thus makes it possible to facilitate the operation of fixing the panel 12. It also makes it possible to carry out a solid fixing while saving the fixing paste. It has for example been found that for the fixing of a panel 12 of given length, the use of formwork 26 produced according to the teachings of the invention made it possible to divide by three the quantity of resin used while obtaining a sufficiently solid hold of the panel 12 with respect to a fixing method by resin injection without formwork 26.
